The Board of Trustees is a subcommittee of the Vestry of St. James Episcopal Church. The rector of the church appoints the members, and each member serves a three-year term. The Board meets each month, except July, with additional meetings as needed. The rector, the Head of School, and representatives of the Parents Guild also serve on the Board as non-voting members.
Clint is an active community leader in Baton Rouge and has served on various boards and committees throughout his career. Clint's daughters, Sally (fifth grade) and Ann Baine (second grade) are students at The Day School. The Hursts are active members of St. James Episcopal Church.
Lindsay Lamont Turner
Lindsay Lamont Turner is a life-long member of St. James Episcopal Church. She and her husband, Earl, both graduated from Episcopal High School and were married at St. James Episcopal Church 11 years ago. They have two children, Wynn and Sydney, both baptized at St. James. Wynn is in third grade, and Sydney is in Kindergarten.
Brent Graham is a member of First United Methodist Church, the Financial Planning Association, Baton Rouge Ancient Athlete Society and Krewe of Orion. He is currently the chair of the Finance Committee of First United Methodist Church. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Vanessa, and twins, Olivia and Bennett who are in second grade at St. James.
Barbara Lane Irwin
Barbara is a lifelong parishioner of St. James and attended the Day School. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Baton Rouge and sits as secretary of the Board of Directors to the Leadership Ascension Foundation. Barbara is married to Mark Garon; two of their four children currently attend the Day School.
Jay Noland is a board member of St. James Place, Baton Rouge Area Foundation, CPEX, and the Friends of Rural Life Museum. Jay, his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children, Fairfax and Jack, are parishioners of St. James Episcopal Church. Their children are in the fourth grade at The Day School.
Jimmy Campbell and his wife, Megan, have been attending St. James Episcopal Church since 2008 when they moved to Baton Rouge. Theri daughter, Charlotte, is currently enrolled in first grade at the Day School
Bart Lofton is married to Michelle Graffeo Lofton, and they have two children: Via in fifth grade, and Zach in second grade at St. James. The Loftons are members of Jefferson Baptist Church. Bart has served on the Board of Directors for the EBR Council on Aging, and the Louisiana Staffing Association.
Kathy Worley and her husband, Mike, have one daughter, Katie, who is a happy fourth grader at St James. Kathy has been the St. James Daisy/Brownie Scout leader for the last few years and has done lots of volunteer work at the school. She is also a board member of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Ft Worth, Texas.
Nicole Brien is presently the Environmental Affairs Supervisor at Placid Refining. Nicole and her husband, Shane, have three daughters. Cate is a graduate of The Day School and is now in seventh grade at Episcopal. Ella and Sadie currently attend The Day School and are in third grade. Nicole also volunteers as a Children’s Church teacher during the 9:00 a.m. service at St. James.
Shannon Blakeman is a partner with CARBO Landscape Architecture. He is a registered landscape architect, and he has worked with St. James on the campus master plan and various landscape improvements. He and his wife, Haley, have two children currently attending St. James Episcopal Day School, Ava in fifth grade and Hayes in third grade.
Jill Couvillon and her husband Clay have been attending St. James Episcopal Church since their son, Townes, started school at St. James. She currently works for Arthur J. Gallagher in a sales and risk management position. Jill and Clay have two children, Townes at St. James and Barrett at Episcopal.
Will Eglin is the Chief Financial Officer of GMFS, a Baton Rouge based residential mortgage company, and a CPA. He is a native of Baton Rouge and a graduate of LSU. Will and his wife, Kasey, are members of First United Methodist Church where he serves on the Finance Committee. Will and Kasey’s three children, Addison, Porter, and Merrill, all attend the Day School.

Trey and his wife, Nancy, are parishioners of St. James Episcopal Church where they are active volunteers. Trey served on the Vestry at St. James and is currently the Finance Chairman for the Church as well as sitting on numerous other boards in our community. He and Nancy are parents of Laurel (third grade), Frances (first grade) and William (Pre-K 4), who all attend the Day School.
Margaret Culbertson and her husband, Pat, have been members of St. James Episcopal Church for more than 30 years, and their two children are graduates of Episcopal High School. They have four grandchildren. Margaret is an active member of the parish and has served on boards of several community non-profit organizations.
Manette Sartain Sammons has served on various non-profit boards and committees in the Baton Rouge community. She is a long-time active member of St. James Church. She was married to the late Leslie Sammons, Jr. and has three adult sons and one daughter-in-law; Ben Agnew, Bryson and Jodi Agnew, and Drayton Agnew. Two of her sons attended The Day School.

Nicole Tarleton is a native of Baton Rouge. Nicole has worked at Our Lady of the Lake and many Nursing and Assisting Living Homes in the area, including St. James Place over the last 14 years. She is married to Kevin and they have two children that attend the Day School, Burke and Ellen.
